Solent Rib 650 

The Solent Rib 650 is one of the most popular sized ribs. It handles perfectly, in both calm and rough waters. The deep V hull grips the water so the rib can travel fast with stability. The weight and balancing of the rib have been carefully designed so that you don't slam down on the waves or are twisted and turned - you'll feel safe in this rib. Because it handles well you'll be able to use it more often, in rougher conditions knowing that it will hold its own. It will comfortably seat eight, yet it can be towed behind a normal family car. Rigged with a 75hp the rib can achieve 25 knots and with a 150hp it can achieve speeds in excess of 50mph.

The Solent Rib 650 is made from marine ply and grp. They are built by us in the UK to a heavier specification (making them sturdier) than some of the other current ribs available. The total length of the boat is 6.5 meters with and internal width of  1.5m and the external with (tubes deflated) of 2.4m. The rib is designed to carry up to 10 people and can take any outboard between 135hp - 225hp. (A diesel inboard can also be installed).

Our ribs are sold as packages so when deciding on what you want you will need to start with the basic package.

We call it a basic package as many customers add onto this starting point.

But the basic package will have everything you need (apart of course from the engine!) to have a success rib and we sell many basic packages you can always add on extra later! Here is the basic package:

 

The basic package includes the boat with tubes with fender and lifelines.

There is an anchor locker in the front of the boat.

A 160l underfloor stainless steel fuel tank with a fuel sender, and fuel access hatch.

The standard boat layout in this price has a forward facing console with a seat at the front.

Behind the console are 4 single seat pods each seat is cushioned and has a stainless steel backrest.

So the package price for the boat will always include the above. Your extra package costs are then:

  • An engine - we can supply any engine of your choice and will help advise which engine will perform the best for what you want to do, i.e. 2 stroke / 4 stroke.
  • Your rigging costs we have a fixed cost (see menu) based on the engine you choose.
  • Non standard items such as an A frame or a trailer.
  • The 'extras' - most customers have a budget in mind so if you want more seating, chevron wear patches, electronics you can have as much as your budget will allow. We ask you to email us a specification - i.e. a list of the items you want on your rib so we can give you a quote on these extras.
