Which outboard should you choose?

Choosing the right engine for your rib package will depend on how you want to use the rib and how much you want to spend on the engine. We can supply any outboard you want. We are happy to install new or second hand engines and will try and advise you on the best options available at the time you want to buy your rib.

With the transom layout on our ribs we can supply and fit the engine of your choice.  The ribs have been CE marked by the RYA.  They can carry up to 225hp on the 6.5m to 7.5m rib.  (Up to 135hp on the 6m rib). For customers interested in rib racing, twin installations or specific layouts the transom can be built up to suit the customers application.

All of our ribs 6m and over can be fitted with a diesel inboard engine.  Although a higher initial cost the diesel engine is suited to customers that are intending to use the rib 100/150 running hours a year.  The fuel running costs are considerably lower averaging on 2-3 gallons of diesel per hour.
